Broadgate Estates award Paternoster Square cleaning to JPC

Commercial property manager Broadgate Estates has awarded a three-year contract to clean its managed premises at Paternoster Square in London to incumbent provider, JPC Cleaning.

In the shadow of St Paul’s Cathedral, Paternoster Square is one of the most iconic development programmes carried out in London over the last thirty years. It comprises office space, retail outlets and cafes with prestigious occupiers such as The London Stock Exchange.

Broadgate Estates provides property management services to a number of areas within the development including both public and back-of-house areas of the Square, King Edward Court, St Martin’s Court, Paternoster Lodge and Warwick Court.

The premium London brand for building service support providers Regent Samsic, JPC Cleaning has been retained on the strength of bringing high service levels backed by a range of innovatory practices and solutions to site.

Regent Samsic boosts London market share with acquisition of JPC Cleaning

 

National building support services contractor, Regent Samsic has acquired London-based JPC Cleaning Ltd (JPC).

The acquisition accelerates Regent Samsic into the upper echelons of the UK soft services supply sector and boosts substantially its share of the prime London region marketplace.

 

Established in 1987 by managing director John Conry,  £7m turnover JPC employs 280 personnel providing award-winning cleaning solutions for many of London’s most prestigious buildings and office parks including The Leadenhall Building, City of London (the city’s tallest building, fondly referred to as the ‘Cheesegrater’), Harrods Estates, Chiswick Park, Broadgate Estates, Singapore Airlines, Blackstone Group, Jones Lang LaSalle and the Ritz Casino.

 

John Conry and his son, operations director John Conry Jnr are to stay on with the Bishopsgate EC2-based business which will continue to service its client base autonomously from Regent Samsic’s London division.

Salary: from £6.70 per hour to £9.15 per hour

Close to Liverpool Street Station -Leadenhall Building, Monday to Friday:

– Cleaning Operatives 5:00am-7:00am

– Cleaning Operatives 5:00am-7:30am

– Cleaning Operatives 6:00am-8:00am

Duties and Responsibilities 
– Be responsible for the provision of cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning of designated areas to the required standard. 
– Working in accordance with Risk Assessments and Method statements. 
– Emptying litter/refuse bins, etc, and removing waste to designated areas in accordance with recycling policy. 
– Cleaning of toilets and washrooms to the required standard where allocated. 
– Spray cleaning, scrubbing floors and re-sealing with polish. 
– Using powered equipment where necessary (scrubbing machines, wet pick-up machines, vacuum cleaners). 
– Cleaning of working surfaces and other furniture as directed. 
– Clearing up after flooding and/or any other emergency cleaning. 
– Undertake any other duties which may reasonably be regarded as within the nature of the duties and responsibilities of the post as defined, subject to the proviso that normally any changes of a permanent nature shall be incorporated into the job description in specific terms. 

Skills / Qualifications / Experience Required: 
You will have some previous experience in a similar role and be able to deliver a high standard of cleaning. You will also know how to provide excellent customer service across the site, have a good grasp of spoken English and a positive, approachable and polite attitude, be ready and able to work in all weather.

JPC is now seeking a Contracts Support role. Reporting directly to the Contract Manager, this role requires strong people management and administration skills, an innovative approach and flexibility. We are looking for an individual with the ability to provide industry leading customer support and excellent client liaison skills set within a strong brand, people centric ethos and culture. The successful candidate will be working with a team of cleaning operatives and property managers, with the assistance of site managers maximising the performance of the team and will be responsible for achieving and maintaining the required support function standards.

Job Title: Contract Support

Working Hours:
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm
• Some flexibility required with regards to hours

Salary: £25,000 per annum
Benefits: 20 days holiday per annum

This role will suit an individual who has a solid experience in contract support, cleaning industry, client relations and experience in a high spec office.

• Carrying out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the overall function, commensurate with the grading and level of responsibilities of the post.
• Collating various data for weekly and monthly report functions.
